I couldn't put any of them down and I had to make sure I had alot of free time before
beginning them! Jennifer Robins needs to be commended on her prowness and
Review: An Author's Nightmare
Kate Landen is a best-selling author but not of romance. No she is a talented
author of crime and loves writing the stories. Writing is her whole life so she
never has time for real romance until she meets Curt. He is everything she never
thought she would have in her life. He is sweet, romantic, sexy and he is all hers.
Just like a fairy tale they marry yet like all marriages she doubts her husband.
Each night he leaves and this confuses her. Along with his disappearing she
starts hearing voices in her head. Not a nice voice but one that is sinister and
gives her chills every day. The only comfort she has from this voice is her
writing. Yet what's most strange is that her writings are coming to life.
As an author this is great but the parts that are coming to life are the ones that
she knows are gruesome and violent. Her best friend is dead because of her and
now others are dying by a dozen. Each time she writes something happens. As a
writer she knows she has a gift, but she never thought this gift would become
life like. Curt has no idea what is going on but knows his wife is afraid. He knows
he is not the strong hero like in her stories but wants more than ever to find the
killer that is in her head. Is she going crazy or are stories coming to life without
An Author's Nightmare is one chilling story that will make you grip the pages
wanting to find out who the killer is. Is Kate imagining things or are they for real?
This is something that kept going around and around in my mind. The author is
very talented for teasing this reviewer and her readers will love it. Each killing
that occurs is one that will make you wonder why and what part does Kate have
in everything. The suspense is definitely there but so is the horror of finding out
who the killer is? Not only does Jennifer Robins have a clever mind but also she
has such an imaginative mind for creating this suspenseful novel.
Full of suspense, could not stop reading until I reached the end"
Kate Landen has everything any woman could want, a best selling book and
a wonderful man she meets, falls in love with and marries. But, when her
best friend is murdered Curt starts acting strange and disappearing in the
middle of the night. Then the murders she writes in her new book are coming
Pushed to her limits Kate finally decides she needs some help figuring out
what is going on, contacting a psychic she discovers that something evil has
attached itself to her life and relies on her book to commit the murders.
With the help of the police Kate now is fighting not a normal human being
but someone taken over by an entity that they do not know how to defeat.
Add to that the fact she is still trying to figure out where Curt keeps going at
night. How much can one woman take?
An Author's Nightmare is a suspense filled book that will keep you
engrossed, before you know it you're at the end. I would recommend this
book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery.

An Author's Nightmare Books Reviews
“A Heart-Stopping, Page-Turning Thriller!
When bestselling author Kate and her friend, Martha, whip out an old
Ouija board, neither of them takes it seriously enough to believe that
any harm will come as result of playing with it; however, when
Martha is tragically murdered shortly thereafter, Kate begins to rethink
her seemingly innocuous encounter with the device. To make matters
worse, as she starts writing her next book (which just happens to be
about a serial killer), Kate begins to experience a series of strange
events - not the least of which are her husband's mysterious nightly
disappearances...as her life soon descends into the realm of
the increasingly dangerous, can Kate save herself from a deadly horror
of her own creation...?
Cleverly crafted, An Author's Nightmare is a heart-stopping, page-
turning thriller. As the mind-numbing suspense of her tale unfolds,
author Jennifer Robins leads the reader through the twists and turns of
a multi-layered mystery with a host of false starts and stops.
Furthermore, in subtle, yet convincing fashion, Robins expounds on the
potential dangers that casual jaunts with Ouija boards can often
present; many people fail to realize that the spirit world is nothing to
play with, and - as Kate discovers -the unsuspecting soul who dares
the open doors to the "other side" is hardly prepared to deal with the
devastating consequences that result.
A gripping suspense thriller, An Author's Nightmare will hold readers at
rapt attention until the very end.”

When I started reading OUTSIDE THAT DOOR, I didn't intend on
completing it that day --but I couldn't put it down. I had to know what
was going to happen next. I felt connected to Carl and Beth, finding
Jennifer's characterizations to be realistic. She took a difficult and
unbelieavable scene and made it believable. I felt I was alongside
the characters throughout the book. If there is one thing I'd change, I
would expand the last chapter. I'd like to know more --then again,
there may be room for a sequel???? Excellent job all around
